WordsWorth is a super addictive word game that’ll test your wordsmith skills like none other! Step into the library and what do you see? A honeycomb of letters scrambled to perfection. You’re job? Find hidden words and trace them with your finger to spell ‘em out. Trace correctly to earn points, reveal new letters, and to unveil new levels. You’re rewarded with Green, Gold, Auto Shuffle, and Wild Card reward tiles as you successfully trace out words. These reward tiles make clearing a level easier, so you want to get as many as you can. To earn BIG POINTS, spell out longer words using rarely used letters. There are 30 levels in all, a range of different rankings, and a Global Leader Board! How will you stack up? There’s only one way to find out!

WordsWorth, created by 99Games, lets you adjust the game to fit your skill level. There are four different grids to choose from (4×4, 5×5, 6×6, and 7×7) and two main game modes; Timed Mode and Classic Mode. Timed Mode is definitely the hardest. The clock seemingly taunts you as you scramble to find and trace enough words to clear the level before you’re out of time. You get 30 more seconds to search with each time you advance to a new level. If ever you get stuck and need help, just shake your iPhone or iPod Touch to get all new letters. Before you do this though, beware! Getting new letters comes with a price! Timer letters appear each time you shake. When this happens you have to find a way to spell a word with that letter before time runs out. If you fail to do so it’s GAME OVER! Personally, I like Classic Mode best. It lets me virtually take as much time as I need to clear a level. Keep in mind though, even in Classic Mode timer letters appear. So you really can’t take all day. When one appears, you better think fast!

WordsWorth is an excellent word game for iPhone. It’s easy to follow, hard to put down, and extremely fun to play. If you’re the type that enjoys crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and the like, you definitely should take WordsWorth for a spin. I really like this app and recommend it to everyone. It’s definitely worth the download!
